A couple of phone screens:
- One if you're local
- Two if you're in a different state
- Three if you're INTL.
If those technical phone screens go through, then you come on-site for 3-4 technical questions. These could cover anything from software architecture, coding, algorithms, a bar raiser (hard coding question), and maybe something relevant to the position. The standards you're held to are highly dependent on the level you're applying for.

Pros: Awesome place to work as a developer. Engineering is still very small; they have some of the best people around. Work hours are still sane, not bad compared to other startups. A lot of exciting things to be built and a great opportunity to learn and grow.
Cons: The press seems to be very anti-Groupon nowadays, which is unbelievable.
Groupon still has a lot of potential, which people fail to understand. I am sure Groupon will go a long way.

Pros: Groupon, I can at least talk about the Palo Alto campus. It is a great place to work. I really like my coworkers, the culture, and having free snacks and lunch.
Cons: One thing that bothers me is the time off policy.
There is no predefined PTO. You may technically take any time off as long as your manager approves. Though, at the end of the day, people end up taking less time off.

Pros: Laid-back environment, free lunch, great for people who only want to talk.
Cons: Poor management, lack of vision, the wrong business model. Communication is the only thing management cares about. All the good engineers left.
