Good Pay, Lots of Learning, Nice and Supportive Colleagues
The scale at which Groupon operates is phenomenal. People who are early in their careers (less than 5 years) will learn a lot.
Can't say the pay is the best, but it is good.
My manager pays a lot of attention towards work-life balance and learning, and this seems to be a company culture.
There are mid-year promotions and raises.
- There is a lot of undocumented legacy code.
- Sometimes WLB takes a toll; meetings start at 10 in the morning and are scheduled for nights too.
- The product and engineering is going through a lot of change.
The recently introduced Scrum is misused a lot. Please make sure to get all the requirements on the table, then proceed to measure the velocity.
