Groupon has two IT hubs in Europe.
One is in Berlin and the other is in Dublin. Currently, I am working in the Dublin city center in a backend Java environment.
I have been working at Groupon for only a few months, but I love it due to the scope of projects that I can work on. Groupon is much more than just a daily deal website. There are 12,000 people working at Groupon worldwide, and this is phenomenal for a company that is only 6 years old.
I work with top engineers who came from larger tech companies, as Groupon offers more freedom to be creative and to sculpt a career. Groupon is still in startup mode, but the company is stable and cash-rich.
The salaries are very strong, along with the benefits: Health, sick pension, etc.
The weather in Dublin is not great, but I am looking forward to the summer.

Coderbyte test: * Problem Solving * Coding * Data Structures * Low-Level Design * High-Level Design * Database design * Class modeling Hiring Manager discussion around behavior and technical skills. Difficulty level: Medium to hard.
The process was like any other organization. It was fine. Nothing much to explain. It started with an HR Discussion, followed by a Technical Round which was about 45 minutes. Overall, the process was satisfactory.
I had a virtual on-site interview that was long and involved multiple rounds. One round involved coding, and another round involved debugging an application. Overall, the experience was friendly, but it depends on who you interview with.
