Pros: Strong engineering culture with a solid set of senior leaders. Hold a high bar for fault-tolerant distributed systems. Strong learning culture.

Cons: Improving, but some legacy processes are being reworked to move faster with engineering. A tough task with micro-services owned by many teams.

Pros: New CEO seems better than old, trying to be more strategic. Good WLB if you don't want to go above and beyond. Meetings are not too early or too late, ever, and there are half-day Fridays. Fun product (food). No layoffs yet.

Cons: Although many employees are remote, there is a strong push back to the office, and it has been made clear that advancement opportunities for remote workers will be limited. The company is not hiring remote employees anymore. On-call can be stressful, though usually not in the middle of the night, since the company is only in US time zones. There are not enough engineers to do all that is needed. It often feels like putting out fires more than making strategic new features. The stock is very weak (even compared to similar companies), causing compensation to always be much worse than promised. Compensation is very good but not competitive with many big tech companies that have better performing stock and are actually profitable.

Pros: I've worked a handful of software jobs in the past several years, and GrubHub has definitely been my favorite. The company culture has been great so far. I have yet to experience an excessive workload, and they've been very accommodating of my personal life.

Cons: RSUs are a significant portion of total comp, and there are no cash bonuses at my level. I'd prefer cash and/or salary increases rather than more RSU grants.
