I received an invitation for an online coding test. It had one question, involving string manipulation. It was very lengthy but easy.

Next, I had a phone call interview. Gosh, I wish I had revised Java fundamentals back then.

The interviewer asked a series of questions:

• Constructor overloading and different scenarios.
• What would be the output of specific code snippets.
• Basic concepts like interfaces, abstract classes, and inheritance.
• Finally, a coding question: find how many times a string appears in another string.

I bombed it.
