Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

The interview process was pretty typical. First, I spoke with a recruiter.

Then, I completed an online assessment, which was not difficult.

After that, I had an interview with the hiring manager.

Finally, I interviewed with team members.

I was told by the manager that I would hear back in a couple of days, but I didn't.

I contacted the recruiter and was informed that feedback was positive, but they were still finalizing decisions with other candidates. This situation continued for a month.

They never formally sent an email stating my rejection.

The recruiter then contacted me again later for an interview with another team.

The online assessment went great, but the manager in the next round was very dismissive and rudely questioned my technical experience without asking any technical questions.

Questions

Promises, recursion, using HashMap, and mathematical problem solving.
