Pros

Most colleagues are great to work with, are very helpful, and many are really smart/excellent programmers. You can get to work on some really interesting problems. Career opportunities are probably OK. Work/life balance is mostly OK. Salary is OK (but not great compared to other companies in the area).

Cons
  • Way too much custom-built/legacy code, some of it kludgy.
  • When I joined, I was told during the interview process that it wouldn't be a problem to work from home at least one day a week without providing special justification. It turns out this is, in fact, rather frowned upon by management.
  • We are being forced to take vacation around Christmas/New Year because the company closes down completely. However, management does not want to give employees the time off.
