Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Denver, Colorado

Process

I had an initial call with a recruiter who was honestly not very efficient at keeping things to one call. No big deal.

Next, I completed a take-home test that was supposed to take 4 hours. Because I wanted to ensure I could compete with people who might spend more time on it, I worked on it longer.

Once I was told I would be moving on to the next steps, I was excited. There were four different interviewers from the team.

The first two interviews were on a Friday. My first interviewer was at a friend's house and not really engaged; I felt she just wanted to start her weekend. The second interview went fine. It was a Behavior and Values interview.

On Monday, I had two more interviews scheduled. The first one went well, with the interviewer trying to explain as much as possible. The final interviewer never showed up.

I emailed the recruiting coordinator 10 minutes into the scheduled call, and received no response. I followed up again after the interview was supposed to be over, and asked about the next steps. It has been 72 hours with no response, other than the original recruiter saying he would look into what was going on.

I definitely did not expect a company of this size to be so unprofessional.

Questions
