Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Denver, Colorado

Process

  1. Phone call with engineer
  2. Phone call with recruiter
  3. Online technical screen quiz (Triplebyte). I was not clear on what they were looking for since the position I was interviewing for was Full-Stack Rails, and the quiz had a lot of Java, C, and Python-specific questions.
  4. Online technical interview (pair on problem). It was a contrived scenario, but the interviewer was very polite.
  5. On-site technical interviews (pairing) with 2 engineers, 1 head of another department, and the CTO.

Everyone I met was extremely gracious and hospitable. I can't remember the last technical interview I had where the interviewer was so nice.

Very smart and practical people. I think attitude and personality add a lot into the assessment of the candidate.
