I was really excited about Gusto as a company but had a disappointing interview experience, due to slow responses and a lack of organization on the part of the recruiting team.
The recruiter followed up about 1.5 weeks after my application to schedule a phone screen. Then it took about a week to set up a technical phone interview. Subsequently, it took another week for the company to communicate that they had put a hold on scheduling final-round interviews.
I'm sure they had a high volume of candidates, but overall communication could have been more timely and transparent.
