I answered the question correctly, and the interviewer added another requirement. I explained and showed that my solution had already addressed that requirement.

At the end of the interview, I asked for ways I could optimize my answer that I might have missed. The interviewer said he had no real suggestions and that I had an optimal solution.

However, I received a standard rejection email the next day.

It's always very confusing and frustrating when you know you answered the coding question well, they had zero feedback to add, but you still get a rejection.
