I understand now why these guys have such a low rating on Glassdoor. The recruiters don't care about you and they ghost you when you have any questions. They only care about getting candidates in the door.
I always loved Headspace as a product, so I was particularly excited to interview with them, but man, the experience was horrible.
I recently had a particularly frustrating experience during a technical interview for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer role at Headspace. This round was outsourced to a third-party company called Karat, and the interviewer's conduct was, frankly, unacceptable.
The interviewer was consistently rude, frequently interrupted me, and displayed a complete lack of professionalism. Their demeanor was cold and impersonal, devoid of any emotional intelligence or even a simple smile.
I find it difficult to reconcile such behavior with a professional interview setting, and it left a very negative impression of Headspace as a company. This experience has made it clear to me why Headspace has such a poor rating on Glassdoor.
I emailed the recruiter about my experience and was fully ghosted. She hasn't replied at all, aka they don't like feedback.
