February 8, 2025

Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I did 3 interviews:

One with the external recruiter
One live coding
The 3rd one was about making a live architecture of a UAV system and explaining that to them

Questions

The assignment was to imagine and describe an architecture for a UAV system that collects aerial data of agricultural fields and notifies the user about crop health and insights. I didn't get through this step.

Pros: • Lots of interesting technical problems to solve • Lots of autonomy as an engineer • Lots of clever colleagues to learn from • Use 'cool' tools • Good-ish base salary • Work closer to AI • Good prospective

Cons: * Disorganized planning * Unrealistic expectations from leadership * Use of 'cool' tools 😂 * The rest of the compensation package is mediocre (including options and medical package) * Less diversity compared to other tech companies (defense in general is very male-dominated) * Not-so-good WLB (depends on what team you are on)
