Really great people at the Bristol office. Very flexible WFH. Good managers who care. Nice modern office.
Annoying training that isn't relevant.
Terrible corporate.
Very boring products.
Corporate slowly removing fun things like free drinks on Fridays.
Site budget not high enough. Big office, not enough people to fill it.
Slow and annoying environments.
Pay is low compared to the rest of the industry.
Good people leaving for better paying jobs with more security.
Lack of innovation.
Management at Bristol is good, but it feels wasted when UKIMEA seems to squash good ideas and plans. The Bristol site is always making a case for more money, but corporate never provides it. However, corporate somehow has enough money to acquire Juniper Networks for an insane sum, far more than it's worth, and hire the Las Vegas Sphere just to put their logo on it.
HPI/HPE used to really value their staff and provide good benefits, which made up for the subpar pay. But now that they value their staff very little, what's the point in staying?
I recently interviewed for a position and found the experience to be well-structured and respectful of my time. The interviewers were well-prepared and asked thoughtful, role-specific questions. Communication was timely and professional throughout t
Two rounds of interviews: first with the hiring manager, then with the USA supervisor. Both technical and open questions were asked. The hiring manager was quite friendly and professional. Preparation for the interview is needed.
First interview, I was interviewed by the hiring manager and the HR manager. Second interview, I was interviewed by two people. Both were engineers and had worked there for a while.
