Total compensation is based upon 3 metrics: individual performance, division performance, and company performance. This should be the pattern from the lowest-paid employee to the highest-ranking employee. If any of the 3 are not met, the employee earns a percentage of the goal. To see executives' total compensation not tied to company performance is absolutely maddening and symptomatic of what's completely broken in corporate America today.
