Pros

The people I work with are great and some of the brightest people I have ever worked with in the industry. I love what I do.

Cons

The compensation for individual contributors is embarrassingly low for a majority of the employees.

Real compensation only happens to upper management.

Anemic raises and bonuses are borderline insulting, even when performance has exceeded expectations year after year.

Advice to Management

Clearly state the bonus and compensation plan.

10% bonus plan, 15%, 20%, 30%, etc., all the way up to Meg.

Total compensation is based upon 3 metrics: individual performance, division performance, and company performance. This should be the pattern from the lowest-paid employee to the highest-ranking employee. If any of the 3 are not met, the employee earns a percentage of the goal. To see executives' total compensation not tied to company performance is absolutely maddening and symptomatic of what's completely broken in corporate America today.
