Some interesting projects and potential for moving to different parts of the company (if willing to relocate).
Degree programmes are available for those who wish to pursue them.
The company is very different from the one I initially joined. Most of the jobs are being relocated back to the States or to core countries. If you are in a non-core country, then there are really limited prospects for promotion or lateral moves.
There are continual WFR (Workforce Reduction) programs to reduce the workforce. You'll either be made redundant or have to pick up the pieces when your team members have to leave. Expect to take on more work but without gaining much more remuneration.
Most of the "HP Way" has been abandoned, leaving just another unremarkable American corporation.
Try to invest for the long term, rather than making short-term gains to please shareholders.
Interview was good overall. I got through referral. They asked based on my resume. There was one round of technical interview followed by a managerial round. Salary offered was decent. The onboarding process was quick.
First round was an aptitude test (this was the most difficult round I felt). The second was a technical HR round (fairly easy). Finally, there was an HR round (concentrated on confidence level and way of approach towards the problem).
There were three rounds, and they were interesting and application-based. All in all, it was interesting and a little challenging. I had an overlapping offer on campus, so I did not receive their offer.
