The front-line people are great.
Engineering is done out of India. The engineering culture is: “Good enough is ok.” There’s no need to be the best, and then they whine when HPE does not increase market share.
C-level is more concerned about stock buybacks and manipulating the outstanding share count than letting the engineering side use the dollars to grow through best-of-breed products.
Stand up to the C-level and protect the front-line sales organization. They are rock stars dealing with horrible marketing and a CEO who is in over his head.
The interview was average. Submitting a resume to HR, getting a phone call for discussion, followed by skills testing and an offer letter. It was a client-recommended profile, so it was not a regular interview process.
Pretty standard. One huge issue is that the background screening was done in Mexico. The language barrier and the time it took to actually get hired were very, very frustrating. I almost didn't accept the role due to this process. It was truly awful,
The candidate process is truly atrocious. I received no feedback. The hiring manager doesn't reply to simple messages for months on end after the interview. I was even referred by an HPE employee for the role. I cannot get any update. The HPE Careers
