CEO making an effort at valuing employees: fantastic benefits and support.
Working with a team that was acquired with a product, they exhibited every engineering red flag. A failed product which was little more than a pathetic facade over Kubernetes and Kubeadm, incompetent and weak management, total lack of technical leadership, technology and processes from 10 years ago, and siloing and 'expert beginners' blocking any effort to fix the myriad of issues.
Stop acquiring rubbish products and teams.
I was invited to a short 20-minute interview. I was asked ten or so technical questions on the details of how coding languages work, and also how to deal with difficult team members.
There was a first stage with an outside interviewer. Then I took a technical interview with HPE employees. They were helpful and gave much feedback which will improve my future interview processes.
Had several calls with engineers on the team and the manager. They decided that they liked me. I negotiated a package with HR. It wasn't a particularly fast process, but it was enjoyable and not stressful!
