I had 4 years of experience in the Server Testing domain. I really wanted to jump as my salary was really poor in my previous company, so I started preparing myself for interviews.
One fine day, I received an interview call letter from HPE R&D, Mahadevpura, Bangalore in Feb 2016. I attended it. There were 7 rounds of interviews. Many people had come for the interview. As I was clearing each round, I was gaining confidence. Out of 7, 5 were technical rounds, each taking approximately 1 hour, and 1 manager, and the last was HR.
Finally, I got an offer and felt really nice. So, it's been about 4 months that I am in HPE.
I think Freshers might not like it here as it involves more of System Engineering rather than Application Engineering.
I hear that salary hikes are not good, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I see no onsite opportunities.
Currently, nothing as of now. If they take care of proving good salary hikes, then it would be wonderful.
Three questions were asked in two rounds, related to networking, CPU & OS, and discussion on the same. Conceptual knowledge and good communication skills are necessary. Overall, a decent experience. Be confident and prepare well for the interviews
First round was an aptitude test (this was the most difficult round I felt). The second was a technical HR round (fairly easy). Finally, there was an HR round (concentrated on confidence level and way of approach towards the problem).
It was mostly on OpenVMS, as I was supposed to work on that technology. There were mostly OpenVMS (Alpha) calling standards, basic data structure questions, and system calls I had used earlier or knew. Operating system related questions like OS com
