The process took a day.
Applied for Mainframes positions.
Process was:
More than 50% of people cleared the aptitude round.
Technical round was a little tough. I was asked about the latest work I did in my current project. Questions were diverse; some were straightforward Cobol/JCL questions and some were scenario-based. The interviewer was interested in the approach to a particular scenario rather than the solution. Surprisingly, they were interested not only in the technical approach but the process followed as well. I could not answer some questions on CICS as I did not work on it. Still, the interviewer was convinced, and I cleared the round.
They made us fill the employment form, and I thought that I was almost selected.
Later on, the HR round followed, which had just basic questions. They asked me the expected salary, whether it was negotiable, and whether the notice period was negotiable.
After that, the process was over. I did not receive any communication from them. HR did not reply to calls/mails.
They hardly selected about 10-12 people in the technical round.
Later on, I discovered that they had frozen the hiring process.
If they did not want to hire people, why keep the drive!
What is a transaction in CICS?
