Let me start by saying that this company claims to value transparency and humility, but that is not the case. I finished a three-hour take-home assessment and then scheduled a phone interview almost a month out because it was their only availability.

From what I read on Glassdoor, I thought it was really just about showing enthusiasm, researching the company, and using the STAR technique to describe projects, and I should be golden. The recruiter I dealt with seemed to really not want to be there during our call. The workday was ending, and she was being very passive. She wanted the interview to end early, and I felt uncomfortable asking some of the questions I had prepared because I felt like she wanted to get this over with.

I asked her about opportunities for growth within the company regarding learning new things and being exposed to different technologies, and she called that question vague, completely shutting me down. I said I had no more questions, even though I did.

She then said I would get a decision, either way, by the end of the week. I had to wait over three weeks to see whether or not I made it to the final interview after emailing her twice for an update. I received a bunch of vague replies.

Anyways, this company's culture is built on complete BS, and I am glad I won't get to work with hypocrites. Thankfully, I have a final round interview with two other companies, so I am not worried about HubSpot anymore and will never worry about it again.
