Pros: 1. Money is insane if you are in certain product roles. 2. Some very smart people still work here; just more have left.

Cons: Been here 8+ years. Since the CEO change, management has slowly pushed into a more toxic, Amazon-style organization with petty politics and stack rankings. Vacation benefits are so badly misrepresented, it's crazy. Hard limits on unlimited PTO with enough red tape, you'll be lucky in the US to ever get even two weeks' vacation unless you are super senior.

Pros: True autonomy for the product teams. No management getting in the way of getting stuff done. All the engineers seem to be both incredibly talented and humble, which can be a tough combination to find. Always opportunities to learn from your peers through tech talks, Epic Week, etc.

Cons: Not a con to most people, but HubSpot gives you a bunch of freedom when you join. Those who don't know how to use it, or need a lot more structure, could struggle with it.

Pros: HubSpot is an incredible place to work as a software engineer. The team is truly top-notch. While marketing/sales software might not sound like the most exciting thing to an engineer, waking up every day to work on a product that changes people's and company's lives is amazing. There is an underlying trust given to all employees - the only policy is "Use good judgment". Teams are autonomous and have full ownership over their piece of the product. The tech stack is strong and infrastructure is top notch. The office is great, there is energy, and the company is growing. Leadership doesn't get everything right all the time, but they are transparent and introspective.

Cons: The company is growing quickly, which means there can be a lot of change. Teams are shuffling around often, and products can change. It's not a small startup anymore, so you won't know everyone.
