It was an interesting experience. It's a 3-hour coding challenge where you work on one question. It's unlike other interviews, which are HackerRank-based. I couldn't figure out the bug, as there were no specific test cases to trigger thoughts about what could be wrong. I felt it was a very practical interview. I did not get through to future rounds.

Pros: I was completely integrated into a team at HubSpot. I was able to work out of the same job board that the other developers were working on and directly impact the projects and goals the team had.
Cons: I was the only intern on my team, and the issues that I was working on were independent projects.
On top of this, the internship was remote, so it consisted of me working independently without much communication with others for the majority of the internship.

Pros: - Resume stamp of approval.
- Everyone knows HubSpot in Boston.
- Lots of really smart, driven, and interesting people.
- You'll learn a ton about startups and build connections around Boston.
- Inbound marketing really is the future.
- #GSD culture.
Cons: - Forced culture as they started to scale.
- Absolutely no competence in middle management.
- Lots of politics.
- Favoritism.
- Jerk attitude at times that makes you feel like what you're doing isn't worth anything.
- Too many software rewrites.
- Feature-overloaded product.

Cons: didn't extend offers for most interns, and we didn't even find out until the internship had ended.
