Process

My interview process started with an email from the recruiter. They told me to send a 'Video Interview' through an app, and it had to be completed within 3 days.

After submitting the video interview, I received another request for a call interview. It was a Zoom video call with the Web Dev Manager. The call consisted of questions regarding my resume, my experiences, and my skills. It also included learning more about the role, the different technologies they use, and the company culture.

I was advanced to the code assessment, which was due within 3 days of when it was given to me. This assessment involved a site that filters year and genres of books and movies. It included Gulp, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and more.

Unfortunately, I did not pass this step. I was told that the quality of the visual design was impeccable; however, they mentioned that I needed to improve my JavaScript skills and also show my work, even if I got stuck, to demonstrate how I approach issues.

I am grateful for this experience and appreciate the feedback I was given. I will continue to improve my skills.
