I initially applied for a Software Developer position. There was a 100% match between my CV and the job requirements, but I received an email stating I wasn't a right fit for the position. I assumed it might be because I hadn't included my Irish phone number on my CV. I added it and reapplied for a Web Developer role.
I received an email about a 30-minute phone call with a manager, and I shared my availability. After a slight delay and rescheduling, we agreed upon a time for an interview.
The Zoom call was scheduled for 12 GMT, which is 13 in Dublin. It struck me as odd that it wasn't scheduled in the correct time zone, as both the manager and I were in Dublin. Given that the recruiter appeared very disorganized and chaotic in her emails, I decided to join the call at both 12 and 13 Dublin time, just in case.
However, nobody showed up. At 13:10, I sent an email to the recruiter, stating that nobody had joined the call yet and asking whether I should wait or if the interviewer needed to reschedule.
I waited until 13:30, when the call was supposed to end. When nobody appeared, I left a message in the Zoom meeting chat that I was leaving the call. I also wrote another email explaining that unfortunately, nobody had joined and expressing my hope that everything was okay.
This time, I received an automated email stating she was out of the office for the day. They had my email and phone number and knew how to reach me, but nobody did. It has been two weeks since.
This is by far the most disrespectful attitude I have encountered from a company.
