I was working as a contractor previously, so there was no formal interview conducted when I converted to a regular position. For the contractor position, I spoke with a few software engineers and one to two researchers, and I wasn't asked too many difficult questions.

Pros: I can't think of any pros. Medical benefits are good now, but were much better previously.
