My hiring process had 3 main stages and was quite fast, taking less than 4 business weeks.
First, a headhunter contacted me via LinkedIn. I understand this greatly facilitates the process as she provided a lot of information about what to expect. After that, I had to complete some registrations on an IBM platform and take some online logic games tests. It was fun.
Following this, I had a 1-hour meeting with an interviewer. It was a very pleasant conversation. He asked me some technical questions related to the position and others to understand my thought process and see if it aligned with the company culture. I felt at ease during the interview. A tip that made me want to be part of IBM is that, just as the interviewer wants to know if you would be a good candidate, you also need to determine if the company would be a good fit for you.
Because of this, towards the end, the interviewer opened a moment for me to ask questions. I asked about the workflow, hierarchy, and what made him want to be part of IBM, such as benefits or other aspects. He truly engaged with my questions and clarified everything, making me even more eager to join the company.
In a few days, I believe 2 business days, I received feedback for another interview. This one was with the technical manager of the project I would be allocated to. It was a technical discussion that lasted about 20 minutes at most. This one was faster because the manager wanted to know a bit about my career path, but was more focused on my technical knowledge and recent market experiences.
