Pros: - Great place to start your career. - I got to work with relatively smart coworkers. (They were definitely smarter than me.) - I got to experience working with relatively large code bases and database development. (Operating Systems and Distributed Systems courses really helped a lot.) - You gotta be good at C/C++/Python/Perl.

Cons: - Snacks are not as good as other FAANG companies :) - Had to write tests in Perl :( - Compile times might take longer than 10-20 minutes sometimes.

Pros: Excellent experience so far!

Cons: Not many food options for lunch.

Pros: A lot of resources are available to you as an intern, from mentorships to online learning courses. I've been able to receive a lot of badges and certificates along with the experience from the project I'm on! The people are also great, and I've had help every step of the way throughout my internship. I've fully enjoyed my time here and do want to come back and work for IBM full time.

Cons: When applying for a full-time position after your internship, it is hard if you don't want to be on the same exact team you were on for your internship. I like IBM and would love to work here, but want to be in a different role. Through some connections I made, I am in the works with talking with other departments. However, I learned I am not able to apply for another area through the internal application process. I will most likely have to wait until the public new grad positions open and apply with everyone else. This applies to anyone who doesn't want their exact internship role, which sucks because what are the chances that it's a perfect fit. It makes it hard to learn about other areas of the company and other jobs.
