Process

Stage 1: Online assessment consisting of written questions about programming principles, as well as 3 coding questions.

Stage 2: Technical Interview(s) + HR interviews. These vary from person to person. Some candidates have typical HR questions, while others (like mine) were simply conversations about the environment at IBM. Technical interviews range from 1-2. It seems that IBM randomly pairs interviewers and candidates from anywhere within IBM to conduct the interviews. From there, they create their own questions to decide whether candidates are generally fit for IBM.

Stage 3: 'Finish Line Event'. If you reach this stage, you are 90-95% guaranteed to receive an offer. This is a hackathon-style event featuring many speakers, presentations, and opportunities to network with managers and learn more about IBM. At this point, they are trying to convince YOU to join them.
