I was called for an interview for the role of an OBIEE developer. I was supposed to report to the office at 10 a.m., but since there was some delay, the interview started only by 2 p.m.
The first round was technical and went on for nearly half an hour. After that, they announced that I was through the first round and would proceed to the next HR round. This was a normal HR round with behavioral questions.
I was informed that I was selected and the salary was discussed thereafter. The same day, the team requested all the documents and conducted biometrics for further processing.
Two days later, I was sent a mail asking for the required documents for background verification and also a follow-up call to send them ASAP so that further processing could be done. I did send the requested documents, but thereafter, there was no response, even after writing emails to HR. There was no way I could follow up; no contacts were shared, and no responses came on email.
When I was hoping for the offer letter, I received a mail after more than three weeks which stated: "Thank you for showing interest in IBM GBU. Your candidature cannot be taken further."
That was the day I decided I would never again be interested in IBM GBU.
Guys, this was a hugely irresponsible approach to the whole thing. No one is answerable. So, even if they have confirmed, don't consider yourself placed until you have an offer letter.
Tell me about yourself and your project.
