Process

The recruiter contacted me through LinkedIn. The process took two weeks.

I interviewed at IBM (Bangalore) in March 2016. These were telephonic and Skype rounds. They conducted a total of 5 rounds. They dealt very politely with interviewees.

The first phase started with Linux, asking questions based on my experience. In this phase, the interviewer decided whether to proceed or not.

The second phase focused on OpenStack features and functionality.

The third phase involved an actual interview on OpenStack, which was completely based on production scenarios, strategic, and real-time problems related to the OpenStack environment.

The fourth round was a technical project manager round, also based on OpenStack.

The final round was a Skype round; they mentioned that one face-to-face round was necessary.

Finally, after two weeks, I received an offer from IBM. However, the job was related to an engineer (band 5) role, and the package offered (8.5 lacs) was not as per my expectations.

My current company was not ready to release me, so I stayed with the same company.
