This was the worst hiring manager round and completely unprofessional.
There were two technical rounds related to SQL, PySpark, and some questions about projects. Overall, both technical rounds were easy, and I cleared both.
After clearing the technical rounds, I received a call from the hiring manager about compensation. They offered less than my current salary. I don't understand how this company operates.
I had clearly mentioned my expected compensation to the recruiter during our first conversation. If the amount was not within their budget, they could have rejected me and shouldn't have scheduled the interview. It was a waste of time and frustrating to attend this interview.
I believe these people schedule interviews solely to waste everyone's time and have no intention of hiring anyone. Most importantly, why would anyone join your company for lower compensation than what they are currently earning?
I would not recommend anyone to interview with IBM; it's a waste of time. Only consider this company if you've exhausted all other options.
