Pros: WLB, Salary is very good but you have to know how to negotiate it. Excellent benefits, projects of all kinds, many opportunities. Working at IBM is like a big school, but you define your own career; there is no rigid path to follow and not everyone likes it. The general work environment is very pleasant, but it can depend on the specific project and management. It is as good as you want it to be and as bad as you want to manage it. If you join and don't like your project, try to move to another one until you find the ideal one.

Cons: They want to push people to advance their profession or job level based on boring documentation. The way to acquire promotions depends on how much you publicize your work and you have to boast about it yourself, when the work should speak for itself. This makes many people feel as if they don't exist if they are introverted, or as if their work and effort are not good enough for anyone. The company's impression depends on the managers, so there can be a thousand different opinions of IBM.
