I was reached out to on LinkedIn to attend an information day on their local campus. A week later, I was contacted about items on my resume that were relevant to a summer intern project they wanted completed.
In our emails, I was told about the problem and a general solution they envisioned (an IoT project). In preparation, I spent a day going through my past projects and drafting my own detailed solution to their problem.
The interview began with 5-10 minutes of introductory and general behavioral questions. Most of the interview then centered around my solution and why I chose to implement it the way I did. I constantly brought up relevant experiences from past projects to explain and defend my choices.
The last 5-10 minutes of the hour were spent on questions I had. I received a verbal offer at the end (the entire interview process was only one hour long).
I received the official written offer about 1-2 months later, which is a common experience for other interns as well.
This interview was a while ago, and I don't recall any specific questions. Nothing was too difficult or unexpected.
Just be prepared to talk about any and all relevant experience and how it relates to the position.
