Software Developer Interview Experience - Poland

Process

I had only two interview stages, which took two weeks. However, I didn't even have a call with a recruiter; we communicated only once by email.

  1. The first stage involved completing two tasks on the HackerRank platform. One task required deleting specific combinations of symbols from a string. The second task presented a wheel with alphabet letters (A-Z), where movement could be clockwise or counter-clockwise, and the goal was to find the minimum time.

Once the recruiter received the results of the coding assessment and determined I was suitable, we arranged a technical interview.

  1. The technical interview was good. It included questions on Java Core, Microservices, Docker, Linux, REST, and testing.

I waited three weeks for an answer.

Questions

  1. How to create an image in Docker?

  2. Name the search commands in Linux.

  3. There was a question about access rights to a file or a directory (a specific example was given).

  4. Tools for testing in Java.

  5. Difference between an abstract class and an interface.

  6. Exceptions.

  7. HTTP methods.
