Pros: Nice people, nice environment, good work-life balance.

Cons: Poor management, too many reorganizations.

Pros: Pay is strong in areas of growth. Work-life balance is good. Employees are generally intelligent. They let you have a Mac now.

Cons: The company seems incapable of delivering a product modern customers want. The focus is on shifting revenue from old products to new products to keep the ship from sinking, not generating new revenue. Management seems to have no idea how to sell the product I build. There is no way to contribute in a meaningful way here; I am merely a cog in a giant machine. Remote positions are going away. Employees are being let go by the tens of thousands. If I have to open Lotus Notes one more time, I might have to seek out mental health care. The only thing standing in my way is the health insurance co-pay, which is ridiculously high, by the way. Corporate offices are something out of "Office Space"—but somehow it's not funny now that I'm employed here. I thought the grass was greener, and I was wrong.

Pros: A degree of flexibility as to working location and hours. Some truly incredible and talented people.

Cons: Too much process, managers that are scared to make a decision, execs that only care about the bottom line and their bonuses, slow as molasses. Big words, big visions, but not backed up by any real execution.
