The interview consisted of several phases.
Phase one involved general questions about previous employment history (conducted in English), qualifications, work experience, and skills.
Phase two (optional) was based on position requirements and verified the ability to use a second or third language when relevant.
Phase three tested advanced MS Office knowledge (primarily Excel 2003!), including features such as conditional formatting, pivot tables, advanced filters, and VLOOKUP/IF functions.
When previous stages were completed successfully, a discussion about expected salary followed.
The VLOOKUP function is surprisingly not often used for personal MS Excel use. Secondly, if one is not prepared that MS Office 2003 is being used, it can be a little confusing to find some action buttons, especially when accustomed to newer versions.
