Test Specialist Interview Experience - India

Process

There was an online test with three test cases provided to be automated using a script that the candidate was experienced in.

The systems were not updated, which was unfortunate. For the Selenium automation interview I attended, I had to inform the HR that the system also needed TestNG to be installed.

I also had to install the Selenium Standalone Server to execute my tests. One of the HR personnel was quite rude when I mentioned the issues.

The Chrome browser that I initially used for testing was not connecting to the internet. MS Word's license had expired, and therefore it would not let me copy at least a 25-character search text from the requirements document.

I had to switch from machine to machine, and none of them had proper local timing set.

This demonstrates an incompetent and inefficient HR community.

I am surprised at how my coding could be rated when there was nobody to cross-check the issues I had mentioned. It was a pathetic way to conduct interviews!
