Pros

Engineers can get to work with the highest level of semiconductor technology the world has to offer. The 300mm fab is a magnet for partner companies around the world to come and develop the most advanced computer chips. We have the newest and best processing equipment that money can buy and the most talented engineers who are able to get the best out of the semiconductor manufacturing process.

Cons

Layoffs have been happening frequently for the last eight years.

Advice to Management

When I joined IBM, the company motto was "THINK", and the three core corporate values were "Excellence in all we do", "Service to the Customer", and "Respect for the Individual".

Today, "Think" has been replaced by "Worry", and the three corporate values have been reduced to "Profit at any cost".
