How well you play politics is more important for promotion than your performance. Management doesn't seem to care about employees. There is no sense of a strong company culture. I don't think employees have any pride in working for IBM anymore. Even as a full-time employee, you feel like a contractor. You know management has virtually no interest in trying to save your job.

They need to start paying more attention towards employee satisfaction. The management has done well on the financial side. They need to start paying more attention to making this a more fun place to work.
