IBM is a technical community made with intelligent, smart, and hardworking individuals.
My team and leadership support, motivate, and encourage us to learn and grow in every possible way.
Opportunities are endless at IBM. It really depends on the individual to take the opportunities if they want to grow their career and learn new technologies, processes, etc.
IBM seems to be making bold bets, and the teams are very flexible in adopting changes so easily nowadays.
IBM has significantly shrunk its middle management, making the organization a more flat hierarchy. This is a great move that makes the organization very agile and flexible to change. The old IBM with bureaucracy and red tape is long gone.
However, the change may have added pressure on mid and senior-level execs. As a result, IBM's overall corporate strategy and vision may not be translated to regular front-end workers, leading to misunderstandings.
Mid- and Senior-level execs should engage more with front-end workers.
The interview process typically involves initial screening, followed by multiple rounds of interviews with various stakeholders, assessments, and possibly a final interview or presentation before a decision is made.
First: Phone interview. This is just to have a quick look through your resume with the candidate to verify the basic requirements. Second: On-site. This includes a technical test, behavioral questions, and a case study.
I applied through a Job Fair at our school. After a month, they called me and scheduled me for an exam and interview. After the exam, we had a group discussion, and next was a one-on-one interview with the IT staff.
