Benefits: I have nothing to complain about the company's benefits, they are excellent.

  • Paid certifications

Great company to start, but not recommended for a career.

Cons

First, the company is situated within the commercial employees' union, being a technology company. This can consequently affect the salary increases proposed by the union and also working hours, as the commercial employees' union foresees 44 hours per week, while the technology union foresees 40 hours.

In the project I'm working on, I work for a large bank, and the bank has the autonomy to define the person's seniority and pay IBM for the seniority. The catch is that the company is so bad at promotions that it's easier for a meteor to fall on Earth and wipe everyone out than for a promotion to appear. They ask for courses, badges, feedback, and a bunch of other things, only to not promote you in the end for anything and still keep the difference from this seniority payment, which is not passed on to the employee.

Not to mention the controversies involving the cartel that IBM was involved in.

It's terrible to build a career at IBM. You will remain with the same salary and position for years, and it's unlikely you'll move up, unless you're "the boss's nephew".

What's the point of the project paying for me as if I were a Mid-Level, if IBM keeps me as a Junior, paying me little for more work and still keeping the difference of this money after paying my employee charges?

Advice to Management

Revisar as questões de promoções dadas aos funcionários, que são pouquíssimas e muita gente dá a vida pelo trabalho.

Repassar o dinheiro que outros projetos pagam aos funcionários a eles, subindo os mesmos de cargo.
