Pros

Off late, IBM is providing a lot of learning opportunities for cutting-edge technologies instead of just focusing on traditional technology certifications. Access to Udemy and Coursera is being provided for a large chunk of employees.

Cons

Management Heavy - decision makers most of the time do not have in-depth know-how of technology.

Compensation structure is very low, and yearly hikes are not enough to adjust against even inflation.

Advice to Management

Management overhead needs to be reduced, and decision-makers need to be well-versed with the latest boom of diverse technologies.

More attractive compensation packages need to be established for employees who do technical work, from graduate hires to senior technical leaders who actually write, analyze, document, envision, and explain 1-0 for the rest of the folks in the company.
