Pros

Can learn while on desk.

Travelling (if you like) because of assignments.

Good benefits/insurance.

Cons

Office politics. Worst sales strategy. Interns are utilized on projects and consultants remain on desk because of hourly rates. Claims to be discrimination-free but definitely discriminates on the basis of cultural values. Not like other Swedish companies because it's an American corp (hence missing Swedish values, fika, etc.).

Advice to Management

Regulate prices according to the market, or do not blame a consultant for being on the desk.

Selling should be expected from a salesperson, not from a technical consultant.

A resource manager should be a full-time manager instead of a technical guy who is on assignment and busy with his work.

Try to minimize politics and grouping.
