Pros
  • Free training
  • Good benefits (health, dental, pension)
  • Nice office environment
  • More positive experiences with coworkers than negative.
  • Some good projects out there
Cons
  • Low pay for the type of work (45k a year for a software engineer is abysmal).
  • Some projects force you, and others pressure you, to work 7 days a week. This is illegal and should be investigated.
  • Managers have very little power and absolutely no say in what employees make.
  • When I started there in 2021, all new hires were making 45k. Anyone hired in 2022 is making 50k, but they did not adjust salaries accordingly to keep up with inflation.
  • Very long probation period (9 months).
  • No overtime pay for extra work.
  • Very long bench period (4 months). Even after that, I was just thrown at random projects. They don't really use your skillset; they just put you where they need you, even if it's with technology you never used.
Advice to Management

Invest more in your current employees to convince them to stay. Maybe raise their salaries to match the new hires, or offer retention bonuses.

Also, please make sure no associates are being overworked by the clients.

Be more open to negotiating salaries and benefits when employees are hired on.
