The project allocation process is really frustrating

Pros

No compulsion to go to the office if you are not allocated to a project.

Cons

I had a very bad experience getting allocated to a project at IBM. Despite me telling my work location preferences, I was assigned to a distant office which was about a 2-hour journey from my home. There was no proper interaction in the office. You will feel like resigning in the first month itself. Think thrice before joining this organization.

Advice to Management

Should follow proper procedure for a new joiner.
