IBM is a huge company with many resources. If you are interested in something in tech, you will probably find it here!
Great mentorship and team matching.
Fellow interns are very nice and smart.
IBM works hard to make the internship experience engaging. For example, interns went to Disney World in 2019. This year, the internship was virtual, but there were always still events, talks, podcasts, radio streams, etc. going on!
Slack channels were also always active, so I was still able to make friends with other interns virtually through Skribbl.io, etc. :)
Hackathon was great! The first time I built a non-BS product at a hackathon, and I've been to maybe 10+? The support given was really incredible; this is a fact that applies across the board too.
Work was technically challenging, and I learned quite a lot. My mentor and manager were also very supportive of my wants and needs and allowed me to get experience working on different sorts of projects.
That is all.
Structured and technical, with a mix of coding questions and behavioral prompts. The interviewers were professional and approachable. The process gave me a clear picture of the role and company culture.
When chosen, you are given a coding challenge. If you pass, they give you an interview. My interview was virtual, using a whiteboard. They only asked me technical questions, with no behavioral ones at all. They guided you through the problem and act
The hiring process involved an online application, online interview questions, and a technical interview. It took about 30 days to hear back. Then, I had five days to complete the video-recorded interview questions. It is a rather cruel process beca
