You get to learn most of the IBM software. You also travel for free. Their contract rate with IBM is also good.
As a contractor, you only get paid when there is a project assigned to you. You have an exclusive contract only with IBM. When there is no project, you don't get paid, and you cannot get any project outside of IBM unless you terminate your contract.
