The salary is much, much lower than what you can earn. If you work on a small squad project, you will most likely be a mid-level developer, performing senior engineer activities. The bonuses are almost non-existent, and the gain from participation is so low that it becomes irrelevant.
There is a lot of internal bureaucracy, and even if you are the best performer in your role, if you slip up even a little with timesheet entries or course completion dates, it is highly probable that you will receive negative feedback in your final evaluation.
