Despite the team needing to come to the office for no mandatory reason, management and onsite opportunities are less.
If project teams are sitting in different locations in India and some are onsite, why is management asking to come to the office mandatorily? It can save time and increase productivity for the project. Instead of wasting 3/4 hours per day on up and down traveling (for a huge traffic city like Bangalore), where none of the teammates are there and no physical collaboration is happening, one employee can give 8/9 hours to the project by working from home. Else, IBM should be flexible for employees working from nearby branches.
